Jeffrey,
Caught this post on ZH and wanted to applaud. I esp am on board not using lack of motivation/inpsiration as an excuse to not getting things done. I wrote about *not waiting for the muse* in a current post: 10 Life Changing Lessons I Learned From Painting.
Take Care,
Jill

Congrats on your post, Jeffrey! Great advice. I agree with what you say about getting enough sleep. I've been going to bed earlier so I can wake up for those productive morning hours. Thanks!

Good post. I like your point about sleep as well. I find that I enjoy myself at work much more when I decide to shut down and go to bed at a normal hour of the night. When I sleep well, I work well.

Wow great article what do you do for a living? You are a very great writer everything flowed well and really made me think about myself. I am working too hard and really opened my eyes for those little breaks in between.

bootmyseo.com

Great post, Jeffrey! Battling burnout can be a tricky thing -- if it's not inspiration or motivation that's flagging, it's the body that begs for a break. Thanks for covering all sides.

Thanks for such an inspiring post Jeffrey!Constant motivation is hard to find in any task. I have experienced burnout when hitting the gym quite often. But once I realised how important exercize is for my good health, I have been regular ever since. So I guess one additional point as to how to avoid defeat burnout is to understand the importance of achieving a particular goal. Once we understand the true significance, we get an instant drive. Also I am really inspired by your 2nd point "Train your muse". I mean to use it to improve my writing by reading more of your blog and Leo's :)
